Aaron Jack is an experimental artist who recontextualizes modalities for the purpose of inner questioning and inner wisdom. Zen philosophies and awareness of Chi - the vital life force flowing through all of life and art - are central themes. Drawing on his training in Industrial Design, Aaron applies an “iterative design” process to his art making and artistic collaborations. His work emphasizes live & improvisational, multi-genre collaborations and space-based ephemeral art.
Weaving together photography, experimental video, visual poetry, painting, projection art, and Zen philosophy, Aaron’s work invites in the world around him whether it be the stones on a river bank, a wisdom keeper encountered at the corner store, or another artist inspired to share their view of the world.
The process and experience of artistic co-creation is a core element of Aaron’s current artistic inquiry. Incorporating the Ayurvedic concept of a harmonious “figure 8” energy flow, Aaron is exploring the Art of Co-Creation as a dynamic system with energy flowing through multiple modalities, beings, and frames of time - all intra-influencing in an infinite loop.
